About this deal

Fit: A- (Secure and comfortable upper that fits slightly snug. I appreciate the tongue loop for ease of putting the shoe on and off)

ASICS state: The NOOSA TRI™ 15 running shoe is comfortable and ideal for a smooth running experience. It’s lightweight, so you don’t have to compromise on speed during your training or a triathlon. The shoe’s FLYTEFOAM™ technology is light and provides enough comfort without weighing you down. Plus, its comfortable upper design makes it easier to put on and take off during different stages of a triathlon. An increased toe spring means a high upward curve at the front of the shoe, which helps propel you forward and increases your speed during runs. ALEX: I wanted to love the Noosa Tri 15 and make it a primary non-plated trainer in my repertoire, but I’m sad to report my infatuation has waned, and I think my critique falls in two major camps; performance and aesthetics. Let’s talk performance first. I logged close to 50 miles in the shoe of varying distances and paced runs. While with the 14, I felt confident in what I could handle (almost anything) and had a similar bouncy experience, my time with the Noosa Tri 15 varied wildly.Perhaps the striking aspect of the new shoe is its brightly colored and eye-catching graphics, which are inspired by brush strokes from some of the iconic works of Vincent Van Gogh. These distinctive graphics are complemented by some updated “NOOSA TRI” graphics. Ryan: The one aspect that could be improved in the Asics Noosa Tri 14 is the outsole traction. This is especially apparent under the toes where I frequently felt my foot slipping. While with road running this is less of an issue, I wouldn’t choose to take the Noosa 14 trail running anytime soon. The shoe’s FLYTEFOAM™ cushioning covers the length of its midsole, helping provide a lightweight and cushioned experience. The ASICS GUIDESOLE™ technology helps reduce ankle flexion with each step, allowing you to conserve more energy while experiencing an easy forward roll on longer runs. LINDSAY: I’ve been loving Asics’ new engineered mesh uppers. Especially the minimalist tongue that’s soft and contours the ankle. Beautiful. The high heel counter is not really noticeable, per se, but it does add a bit of stability to the shoe and reduces any excessive ankle flexion. While it’s not the most breathable upper, it’s not warm or heavy either, and it’s got a style that will bring out the artist in you.

Designed for people who enjoy triathlons or daily distance runs, the NOOSA TRI™ 15 shoe features FLYTEFOAM™ and GUIDESOLE™ technologies to propel them forward as they run faster and more energy efficiently over long distances. Stability: B+ [Stable Neutral] ( Mild guidance methods will work well for those with neutral/mild stability needs. Rearfoot bevel could be a bit smoother)
